RICKY Hatton will give Manny Pacquiao a harder fight than did the legendary Oscar de la Hoya.

So says the little Filipino ace’s trainer Freddie Roach, who has also warned his man that the Hitman will employ “dirty” tactics to try to rough him up.

Pacquiao and Hatton will meet at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2, both receiving around £4m for a fight to decide the best pound-for-pound boxer on the planet. read more

MANILA, Philippines—After Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley could be Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent.

Trainer Freddie Roach bared his preference for Mosley on Wednesday in an interview with Michael David Smith of Fanhouse.

But Roach considers Hatton as a worthy adversary for Pacquiao, now the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter.

Roach, the two-time trainer of the year, thinks Hatton will give Pacquiao “a tough, exciting fight” when they tangle on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. read more
